We provide slide
viewers or light boxes for customers to use in organizing their slides
and in determining which slides they want converted. There is no charge
for the use of this equipment for the first 30 days of use.
§
When we are not scanning
your slides they are kept locked in 500 lb fire-resistant file cabinets
for safe keeping.
§
Before scanning the
slides, compressed air is used to remove any dust or loose particles.
§
Slides are verified to be
in the right direction (the equivalent to facing screen in a slide
projector)
§
Slide is scanned at 2000
Resolution which produces a high quality JPEG image approximately 1700
by 2500 pixels and 1 MB in size (Default setup is 2000 resolution and
High Quality JPEG. We can also generate TIFF images at slightly higher
prices).
§
Once scanned each digital
image is reviewed and edited within Adobe Photoshop Elements. Minor
adjustments for color, contrast, fingerprints, etc., are made when
feasible.
